The Ladies of Pembroke Book Club read “As the Wicked Watch,” a crime mystery from Emmy award-winning television host Tamron Hall co-authored by T. Shawn Taylor.

In addition to the regular book club members, the Ladies welcomed Taylor to join their October monthly meeting to discuss the book in a panel setting.

For the first time, they opened the discussion up to members of the community. Hopkins Park Mayor Mark Hodge dropped in for the lively discussion, which was recorded on Facebook Live.
