Recently, the Pembroke Community Consolidated School District 259 received a donation from the Nicor African American Employee Group En-Rapport to enhance the Lorenzo R. Smith Elementary School’s Media Center and Greenhouse.
Superintendent Nicole Terrell-Smith accepted the donation at the school’s library. In a news release, she shared that “financial commitments like this one are a critical component to funding these innovating initiatives.”
This funding will help spur innovation, media development, and a growing greenhouse. Connecting with, giving back to, and serving our communities is essential to growth within the greater Pembroke community.
