This June, the Ladies of Pembroke Book Club hosted the Mission Impossible: Our Men Do Matter formal banquet at NABVETS building in Pembroke Township.
The third annual event honored members of the community and featured a social hour, dinner, and presentation of several awards.
Mission Impossible: Our Men Do Matter had 75 attendees, including state Rep. Nick Smith and Rep. Will Davis.
Pembroke native, Toni Gallatin served as the guest speaker. Gallatin is a certified life coach who appeared on BET’s “Comic View” for two seasons and worked as a celebrity comedian on daytime talk shows. Gallatin is originally from Pembroke and a graduate of Lorenzo Smith School and St. Anne High School.
Honorees received the following awards:
- New Business Award: Jeremy Felton
- Established Businessman Award: Marcus Bobo, 4GM Hardware
- Distinguished Gentleman Award: Pastor David McMillan, Bible Witness Camp Church
Tonia Lafi of the Ladies of Pembroke notes, “the primary focus was to honor the men and let the men know they do matter.”
